So far, photography has not been the major focus of my creative work this year but I try to make an effort to take photographs whenever possible. This photograph was taken during our family day of working on our flip home project. The day was so beautiful with sunlight and a nice weathered fence, I couldn't resist a portrait of my girl.
I took a break today from creating clip art for my TpT shop and decided to work on some printable wall art available at my personal shop as well as on Etsy. It has been really fun coming up with some designs for some of my favorite quotes as well as ones that I came up with personally in my own life. I hope they are encouraging to you and if you like any of these prints, check them out here.
I'm excited to give you a sneak peek of a fun project that I'm working on as part of my art educational resources (will be available at my TpT shop and my independent shop). The idea is to create printable paper crafts relating to each letter of the alphabet. I hope to provide many resources that will nurture creativity in your students or children and help them to love art. This will be a great supplement to the Letter of the Week Curriculum for preschoolers and kindergarteners.
Here is my March Freebie, a fun and simple St. Patrick's Day greeting card available at my shop. During my photography journey, I have grown to love black and white images even more. Now, I find myself instinctively knowing what image I photograph will be a black and white one. I find black and white images evoke so much more emotion from a portrait. It is due to this love that I hope to learn film photography. I'll start slow because I am partial to the flexibility of digital, but lately, I've been drawn to film because the idea of making a photograph and having to slow down for each shot is very appealing. And quite encouraging to think that in learning film, I'll be a better photographer. So stay tune for this film photography journey I hope to take soon...
On a side note, this handsome model is my husband who is incredibly supportive. As much as he prefers not to be in front of the camera, he lovingly (sometimes with a little grumbling) helps me with of my photography vision. Happy Friday and wishing you a weekend of awesome creations.

Hey there, I'm hoping you have had a great start to the week as you're reading this. Over the weekend, I ended up cleaning up my computer and looking through old photographs, which is the fun part. I'm amazed at how fast the time flies and here is a sweet photo of one of my lovely nieces taken a few years ago.

Earlier this month we took a family trip with some friends and explored San Francisco in California. The bay was beautiful and viewing the old Alcatraz island from the distance gave me a sense of uncomfortable nostalgia from movies I've seen about this prison. The sunset was definitely beautiful with the light glistening on the Pacific Ocean as we made our way in search of a family friendly restaurant for dinner. This photograph was taken during our walk on the port and the structural framing was just beautiful.
Hey lovely folks! It has been a busy new year and my family and I are finally settling into a new place to call home. Downside, unpacking. Upside, we have a nice home with plenty of backyard space for my kids to be kids. Hubby and I are taking on another home flip project so I am excited. While getting over colds and figuring out how to get back into the flow of homeschooling (as I catch myself sometimes questioning if I am making the right decision but having such a fun time with my kids, getting to spend a lot of time with them and truly getting to know them), I still manage to carve out a little time for art. I'm hoping to really add more educational art products for my Teachers Pay Teachers shop and find myself really enjoying coming up with art resources that will encourage creativity and nurture a love for art. This year I hope to focus more on educational products and projects, while planning on launching my personal shop sometime this year. Stay tune. During this time of transitioning, I've learned that fears are not that scary (stay tune for a print of this). And in God's grace of carrying me through these changes and challenges, He has shown me that life is far from perfect but rather, life is a messy gift.
