I've always been inspired by nature because of its beauty, imperfections and mysteries. I love photographing and drawing elements of nature and feel even more at peace when I am able to create art while being part of nature. Whether I'm photographing at a beach or sketching on the dirt in my backyard, nature inspires my creative process. Maybe it's also because I feel even more of God's presence when surrounded by the beauty of what He created. During a fun playdate at the park, I was inspired to capture some macro images on my phone by using an inexpensive 2 in 1 wide angle and macro lens attachment that is awesome. I have no regrets in buying! I definitely recommend purchasing one to play with. May you see nature and life in fine detail. "Budding Dandelion" has to be my favorite among these macro images. I love the details, light and softness in this image. The moment I saw this image on my phone, I knew it would be a black and white image. "Curling" was a unique approach to capturing a leaf. The leaves had beautiful vibrant fall colors but I also noticed could use some water (most likely due to the drought we are experiencing). I took this image because the colors attracted me and I love the details on the curl of the leaf. Who doesn't like the color green when it comes to nature? In "A Touch of Green" image, I appreciate the details of the dirt on the leaf. It represents 'imperfection' in nature, I suppose, which makes the image that more interesting.
