From my family to yours, I hope this Thanksgiving and holiday season are filled with a heart full of thanks and gratitude. The holiday season can be stressful and busy but I find that if we focus our minds on gratitude, our attitudes will be redirected to a heart of contentment rather than stress. Focusing on gratitude daily, will allow us to live in peace.
The holidays can also stir up feelings of loneliness and hurt for those of us that have survived an abusive childhood. But I hope that this will empower us to make changes in our lives, to surround ourselves with loving people, and to fill our hearts with gratitude towards God for pulling us out of our painful pit. I am grateful to God, who has given me a life to live freely.
