In the journey of healing we enter a war. Healing isn't an easy battle. It is of incredible strength that requires us to reach out for the help of others and God. Healing isn't a beautiful process. It is a messy journey that reaps beautiful growth. In my journey of healing, I've come to embrace the reality that I may not truly ever reach complete (100%) healing because the memories and the scars (though fading) will remain. I feel in my heart my complete healing will happen when I see my loving Savior, my loving Father, my God face to face. So I pray for all the survivors out there to enter your war with dignity and a confidence that God is in control and that He can handle all the ugliness, the pain, the scars, the breakthroughs, and the joys during your battle. Be safe everyone. And extend love and grace to others and to yourselves. With love and hope, Saroum.
