There are days when I am not happy with who I see in the mirror. When I can find many faults and imperfections that only do harm to my confidence. I think most of us struggle with this no matter our circumstances or past. But in my healing, I am learning to make a conscious effort to not dwell in these negative thinking and to, most importantly, not believe these lies. The truth in our identity and value is not based on our hurts, past or accomplishments because they are based on what God thinks of us. Therefore, we can learn to reject those lies and embrace how much He loves us. It will take time to begin to love who we are because anything worthwhile takes effort and requires change. Praying we stick to the changes and keep on keeping.
