In the midst of fear, it takes courage to choose to live your life. I'm saddened by the tragedies throughout our world; the lives lost, the families and friends in mourning and the fears that we carry because of how darker our world seems to be growing. Although there seems to be so much darkness in this world, I force myself to look for the beauty and joy. If you look long enough, you'll see it. I woke up reading about the bombings in Brussels and Turkey, for a moment fear seized my heart and I began to worry about family and friends overseas. I wanted to stay in my bubble of safety with my kids at home. But God stirred my heart to move forward and to live on. The kids and I went on a short day trip today to a beautiful community park in Encinitas, CA (definitely a place apart from my comfort zone). I'm grateful that I listened and I'm grateful to be able to see my kids play with new and current friends. Their laughter, despite such sad news, gave me the hope to live fully.
Welcome to my visual thread of art and photography! In case you are wondering, my name is pronounced sa-rome and I'm excited that you've dropped by! My days consist of the lovely chaos of caring for 2 active kids (if you have any running around at home, visit my learning corner for fun art resources) thus any free time is devoted to creating.
