Hi! My name is pronounced sa-rome and thank you for wanting to learn a little more about me. I enjoy the creative process and I desire to encourage others to create. I enjoy capturing inspiration through fine art and digital tools and being able to use my hands give me the most freedom when creating a piece. The joyful, funny, and painful moments in life are the candid inspirations in my art and writing. I am also an author on Teachers Pay Teachers where I create art resources to help educators and parents nurture a child's creativity, foster their love for art and encourage them to think outside the box, problem solve and use their imagination. I enjoy fine art photography, digital art, crafts, writing, reading, and being out in nature.
On a personal note, I am an introvert who embraces rare moments of solitude, a wife, mom and homeschooling newbie; these roles challenge me daily. I am a follower and friend of Jesus Christ who is humbled by His grace and who is gratefully and undeservedly loved by Him. I hope, as I grow as an artist, I grow into a deeper relationship with God, my Heavenly Father.
A Quick Note to My Readers
This website is a combination of my professional portfolio and personal voice. As much as I hope to commit more time to my art work, seasons in my life takes me away as there isn't enough time in the day. In order to have more time to give to my loved ones and to also nurture my creative gifts, I now manage one social media platform (yay! for Pinterest). I hope to focus less on busy work and more on deep work, so that I can be intentional about the quality of art that I share with you and the attention that I give to my loved ones. With this said, wishing you a lovely creative day!
