Hi! Thank you for wanting to know a little more about me. My name is pronounced sa-roam and it's of Cambodian origin. I'm an introvert who embraces short moments of solitude, a military wife, homemaker, and homeschooling mom; these roles challenge me daily and help to stretch me. I'm navigating life with some health challenges while working on a healthy balance of personal and professional life that best suits the current season in life that I'm in and best mesh with my introversion. I believe that in this life, we will not ever be completely free from suffering and, although, we may go through trials, these trials increase my personal belief that they will turn out for good when we place our hope in God. I'm grateful to be saved by grace and growing in my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the source of my hope and strength. I'm grateful for His mercy and forgiveness, death and resurrection, relentless love, and faithfulness. I'm thankful that He has carried me through many dark pits and valleys throughout my life, and I'm confident that He will always remain lovingly near if I'm to walk through them again. I hope, as I grow as an artist, I grow into a deeper relationship with the Lord.
I also enjoy fine art photography and capturing images of nature whether with my cell phone or a digital camera. When time permits, you will find me running my other website, Doodle Thinks, where I share children's educational art and design resources to encourage creative thinking. I hope to one day publish a children's book, commit to an actual garden that I don't neglect (hah! currently container gardening of a few plants have done well), journal and write poetry more, and really live out a simple life.

A SIDE NOTE TO MY READERS
Due to my demanding but joyful role as a homeschooling mom navigating life with health challenges, I try as much as possible to dedicate any creative time left over for actually creating something. Therefore, I'm harder to reach than most artists since I don't utilize social media platforms, and as much as I would like to be more active with online networking, I'm not good at it as it takes too much time away from my family. I'm working on a more reasonable approach to the amount of time that I use the screen as we are already saturated with it. However, I'm grateful to be able to present my art online, and excited to focus less on busy work and more on deep work, so that I can be intentional about the quality of art that I share with you and the attention that I give to what I value most. Thank you for reading my words.
With Gratitude,
Saroum
