I hope your new year has been awesome so far. I have been occupied with homeschool, creative projects, new shops, homemaking, and haven't found much time for personal side projects. I hope this year, I'll start picking up my camera and taking photographs. I wanted to share this flower from my backyard that was nestle under a pomegranate tree. I thought the weeds and lighting were perfect natural elements to compose an image. Happy inspirations! Image captured, July 2022.

I'm so grateful I was able to take a lot of photographs of my children when they were younger because the time really did fly by. I'll have a teenager soon and because they are less than 15 months apart, I can't believe I'll be having two teenagers. I don't dread them growing up or becoming unruly teenagers because I like to believe that when given constant love and consistent correction, they will be loving and respectful teenagers. I think it would be unfair of me to label the teenage years as difficult years since they have not reached this age yet, and they have shown me otherwise how loving and respectful they are as children, so I'm optimistic and confident that they'll be awesome teenagers.
This photoshoot was a fun and creative process. I'm glad my kids were patient with me as my artistic mode really kicked in because I took multiple shots. I'm glad they had a lot of fun walking and running up the stairs. Since I'm drawn to black and white photographs as well as the quality and texture of film photography, I am excited to share this image which convey my creative vision. Image captured, 2018. Hi there! Time sure flies by and we are already in July! For Americans, we celebrated Independence Day yesterday and it was fun to hear firecrackers going off in my neighborhood. I wanted to share with you what Independence Day means to me. When I think of Independence Day, I think of freedom and God's grace in my life. Without His grace and the compassion of Christian missionaries who sponsored my childhood family from Cambodia to the United States, I would've remain in a country during a time in which it was recovering from the devastation of being overtaken by a socialist communist regime. I wouldn't have been afforded rights that I've been blessed and privileged to have. I wouldn't have had access to opportunities and for this, I'm grateful to be an American. If I was to dig deeper in regards to freedom, what is most important to me is the freedom that I have when I place my faith in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I hope that you may come to know that there is freedom in loving Jesus! Thank you for reading my words and make it a creative day today. Image captured, 2011. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
