Hi there, sharing some thoughts today: it's been a journey navigating life with health challenges that offers no cure. Sometimes the journey is clear, like when my swag mobile (aka my mini van) has a clear view of a stop sign coming ahead, and sometimes the journey is unclear, like searching for a stop sign during a foggy day. I'm learning and will continue to learn, that no matter what the day is like or the status of my health, that stop sign will still be there as a reminder to slow down. And to me, that stop sign is symbolic of my relationship with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is my constant hope in a constantly changing world; in a world filled with illness, sorrow, pain, uncertainty, and sin. I'm grateful to be able to write some thoughts down after months of battling fatigue and pain as the brain fog is slowly lifting and the pain not as debilitating. I haven't written much poetry and wanted to write about my health journey conveyed in a short poem. I hope that in sharing this poem and my thoughts, that you'll be encouraged with whatever challenges you're facing.
"Calm in the (Chronic) Chaos" Tug and twist, pull and pain Fog, fatigue, nothing gain Want to give up, won't give in For my Jesus rose, my hope in Him Thank you for reading and I sure hope you'll find something creative to do today. For those that love and know Jesus, Happy Easter! For those that don't know Jesus, I hope that you'll soften your heart and get to know how much He loves you. Photo taken March 2023.
